Do You Know the Best Colors for Wholesale Movie Theater Seating in California?

Because we do! We’ve worked with movie theaters across the country, and we’ve learned a thing or two as we’ve provided wholesale movie theater seating in California, Texas, Florida and in numerous other states.

At first glance, you might not think that color matters all that much when it comes to theater seating. After all, no one spends time looking at the seats, do they? People show up, grab their snacks and drinks and sit back to enjoy the show. While no one is consciously checking out the upholstery, you might be surprised to find out how much the color scheme of a theater can affect your enjoyment of a movie.

As a provider of wholesale movie theater seating in California, we’ve found that certain colors actually enhance your enjoyment of a performance, while other colors can actually detract from it. Bright reds, for example, can be hard on the eyes. Even when a room is darkened, the light from the screen will reflect off of that bright upholstery and will negatively affect the viewers’ color perception.

So what colors are good to use? There are three main colors that are absolutely brilliant in theaters:

1. Deep Blues – Navy blue and other deep shades of blue are wonderful because they appear nearly black once the lights are dimmed. Once the house lights go down, the deep blue mimics the appearance of a totally black room which is an ideal environment for movie viewing.

2. Deep Greens – Deep shades of olive and forest green are also excellent for both seating and wall colors. Greens tend to simply fade into the background once the lights are dimmed, so while they might not appear black, they don’t distract either.

3. Deep Reds – Shades of burgundy and maroon create a warm, rich environment when the lights are on, and they fade to nearly black.
