We’re all about energy efficiency, so we love the fact that the World Games Stadium in Taiwan has installed 14,155 solar panels over its exterior surface. Not only can these solar panels keep the stadium lit from dusk till dawn, but when the stadium is not in use, the energy is distributed to power 80% of the surrounding neighborhood.

2. Marina Bay Floating Stadium in Singapore

Just the name “floating stadium” is pretty cool. The massive sports platform sits out on the water, and has been designed to hold over 9000 people. An additional non-floating gallery can hold 30,000 spectators at any given time.

3. Allianz Arena in Germany

This stunning structure is at its best at night, when the entire exterior is lit up with color-changing light panels. It looks a bit like a giant candy, and is typically lit up with the colors of the team playing. It holds nearly 70,000 spectators.
